Cattolica is the stage for national and international sporting events. Among the most exciting sporting events of 2024, there are 4 that you simply cannot miss!
• Granfondo Squali Trek: one of the most fascinating and challenging cycling races in Italy, taking place among the hills of the Romagna hinterland and the beaches of Cattolica and Gabicce Mare. The Granfondo Squali, from 10 to 12 May, includes two routes: one 135 km and one 85 km. They both starts and finishes in Cattolica.
• Ocean Man Race and Dominate The Water 2024: two events dedicated to lovers of open water swimming. The first is a 10 km swimming race, starting and finishing on Cattolica beach, from 24 to 26 May. In addition to this Dominate the Water: a circuit of open water swimming events created by Olympic champion Gregorio Paltrineri, which will stop in Cattolica from 31 August to 1 September.
• Inferno Run Beach: a sports competition of strength, endurance and fun, which will take place in Cattolica over the weekend of 4-5 May 2024. The Inferno Run takes place on the beach and in the Conca Park with various obstacles, both natural and artificial. It recalls the protagonists, places and events of the Dantean circles of the Divine Comedy.

If the things you can’t give up even on holiday include chocolate, wine and street food, in Cattolica there are festivals, fairs and food and wine events for the whole family! Here are the ones you can’t miss.
• Ciocopapà: Father’s Day in Cattolica is celebrated in sweetness! Ciocopapà is an event dedicated to artisan chocolate and confectionery. From 15 to 17 March, Piazzale Roosevelt will be filled with show cooking, workshops for young and old, and above all chocolate tastings and other delicacies.
• International Festival of Taste – Easter Edition: this year the appointment with international food and wine returns to Cattolica to celebrate the start of spring. Easter will have a new flavour, or rather a thousand different flavours! From 29 March to 1 April 2024 food trucks will be serving street food from all over the world, music and dancing.
• Weintour: one of the most popular food and wine events in Cattolica and Romagna. From 17 to 19 May, Viale Bovio will be teeming with wineries from Emilia-Romagna for tastings of wines and typical products, as well as meetings, seminars, and masterclasses dedicated to oenology.

Moreover if you are passionate about music, cinema, theatre and noir literature, Cattolica awaits you in 2024 with shows, musical events and themed cultural festivals. Events unique in Italy!
• Concerts in Cattolica: the Arena della Regina is the open-air theatre and it brings the most popular artists to Cattolica every summer. For example among the first concerts announced: Annalisa, Gemitaiz and Deejay Time, as well as the ever-present Notte Rosa!
• Mystfest 2024: the 52nd edition of the international mystery and noir festival is back: detective stories in literature, music, cinema, and also art with literary presentations, big names from the world of entertainment, film screenings, exhibitions, and travelling shows.
• Strariva: on 22 and 23 June, jazz and funk music becomes itinerant and invades foreshore, pedalos and cutters along Cattolica’s beach! Strariva is a moving jazz festival which certanly will overwhelm everyone with its rhythmic charge, improvisation and the warm sound of wind instruments.
