The Giro d’Italia a Vela stops in Cattolica: the ‘Marina Militare Nastro Rosa Tour 2026’ is coming

A major event in Cattolica from 5th to 9th June 2026: the Queen of the Adriatic will host the first, eagerly awaited stage of the ‘Marina Militare Nastro Rosa Tour 2026’, the Giro d’Italia a Vela now in its sixth edition.

A top-level competitive sporting event with a strong institutional focus, organised by SSI Sports & Events, the Yacht Club La Maddalena A.S.D. and the Ministry of Defence (through Difesa Servizi S.p.A.), in collaboration with the Italian Navy and under the patronage of CONI.

If you’re on holiday in Cattolica or planning a weekend in Romagna in early June, this is an unmissable event that combines the charm of sailing with the beauty of our coastal region.

Where and when:

The heart of the event in Cattolica will be the area around Via Antonini (harbour area) and the Circolo Nautico Cattolica.

1st June 2026: Start of the regatta village set-up.

5th–9th June 2026: Official opening of the regatta village to the public and sporting activities.

The touring event, which will traverse the seas and coasts of Italy during May, June and July 2026, will offer a unique spectacle both on the water and on land, where enthusiasts and curious onlookers alike can soak up the atmosphere of major sailing challenges.

Opening hours for the Villaggio della Vela and its stands: morning: from approximately 10.30 am to 12.30 pm afternoon/evening: from 4.30 pm until approximately midnight

Saturday 6th June 8.00 pm – 11.00 pm – Villaggio della Vela STAGE: DJ set by ‘Chalet del Mar’ with DISCO SOCIETY.

Sunday 7th June (Sports Festival) – Parade from Piazza Primo Maggio at 5.00 pm, arriving at 6.00 pm at the Villaggio della Vela at the Port – 7.00 pm – 9.00 pm Villaggio della Vela STAGE – Closing DJ set for the Sports Festival.

Departure – VENICE (VE): From 26 May to 4 June, at the Italian Navy’s Arsenale.

CATTOLICA (RN): From 4 to 9 June (set-up from 1 June), Via Antonini and Circolo Nautico Cattolica.

VIESTE (FG): From 9 to 14 June, MMNRT Village in Viale Marinai d’Italia and Beneteau FIGARO 3 boats at Pier 54 (Gargano Sailing Club).

TARANTO (TA): 14–19 June, Corso Due Mari and the Italian Naval League, Taranto Branch.

SIRACUSA (SR): 19–24 June, Molo Zanagora (Foro Emanuele I) and the Italian Naval League, Syracuse Branch.

TROPEA (VV): 24–29 June, Via Lungomare (beneath the picturesque Sanctuary of Santa Maria dell’Isola) and the Italian Naval League, Tropea Branch

NAPLES (NA): 29 June to 4 July, Via Francesco Caracciolo (Rotonda Diaz) and the Italian Naval League, Naples Branch.

PORTOFERRAIO (LI): 4 to 9 July, Porto Vecchio (Calata Buccari) and the Italian Naval League, Portoferraio Branch.
