OUT! mini film festival

Following the success of previous editions, the Municipality of Cattolica is once again offering OUT!, a mini film festival on rights, freedom, and gender equality, with three free outdoor cinema events on Tuesday, August 5, 12, and 19. The screenings will take place at Parco della Pace (on the Piazza IV Novembre side) at 9 p.m.

Tuesday, August 5 – Moonlight (2016, directed by Barry Jenkins), Oscar winner for Best Picture, the intense story of Chiron. He is an African-American boy who, amid a difficult childhood, searches for his place in the world.
Tuesday, August 12 – Zootropolis (2016, directed by Byron Howard and Rich Moore), a Disney animated film. It tells how a rabbit policewoman and a fox con artist overcome stereotypes in a city where differences divide species;
Tuesday, August 19 – Wadjda (2012, directed by Haifaa Al-Mansour), the first Saudi film directed by a woman. It tells the story of Wadjda, a girl who dreams of buying a bicycle, defying rules and traditions.

OUT! mini film festival, sponsored by Arcigay Rimini and the Chiama Chiama Anti-Violence Center, is organized in collaboration with La Bottega del Parco, the Family Center, Sistema Critico, and Circolo del Cinema Metropolis, as part of the Municipality of Cattolica’s commitment to a welcoming, inclusive community that respects the rights of all people.
