“I Luoghi dell’Anima” is the ontological exhibition , dedicated to the personal pictorial works of Paolo Piovaticci (1934 – 2024 ) that the Palazzo del Turismo will host from 6th to 20th June.

The exhibition renews the artist’s solid bond with the city of Cattolica, where he has exhibited his paintings several times. Piovaticci was not only a painter but also a writer, historian, poet, curator of cultural events in Italy and abroad.

In ” I Luoghi dell’Anima” the use of color and themes, almost always belonging to a surreal dimension, make Piovaticci pictorial universe among the most personal you can see in our time.

A spontaneous and flowing painting that seems to reveal timeless situations that have to do with our most ancestral interiority.

Whether they are surreal, metaphysical visions or reminiscences of an unconscious memory, there is no doubt that we face dreamlike visions and intellectual dimensions.. An exhibition path that accompanies the visitor through images that do not belong to reality but take shape in the fervent imagination of the artist. Images as imprisoned in another way, that on the canvas manifests itself as a fragment of a narrative of another space. An initiatory journey made of extrasensory and metaphysical perceptions of worlds of unknown or unremembered origin. ‘Visioni’ pictorial reminiscences of an unconscious memory or dreams of a past never dead and a future never arrived, in the metaphysical charm of an unmistakable poetic surrealism.
