#GEP 2023 – European Heritage Days at Museo della Regina.
The museum is organizing two events aiming at enhancing the city’s cultural heritage.
RENDERE VISIBILE L’INVISIBILE: Abitare a Cattolica nell’età del Bronzo.
(MAKING THE INVISIBLE VISIBLE: Living in Cattolica in the Bronze Age).
On September 23rd at 5 p.m., a new multimedia installation will be inaugurated at the Archaeology Section of the Museo della Regina. The virtual reconstruction of Cattolica’s Bronze Age village will be accessible.
Thanks to virtual reality, visitors will have the opportunity to enter the prehistoric village of Cattolica and observe a cross-section of its daily life.
Visitors will be able to discover the huts of the ancient settlement, learn more about the archeological site, and interact with some of the objects.
The new installation was created in collaboration with FrameLAB – Multimedia & Digital Storytelling of the Department of Cultural Heritage of the University of Bologna.
The project is based on an interdisciplinary approach to improve the accessibility of the cultural heritage of the Museum, thanks to innovative methodologies in the field of Digital Heritage.
