La Canta. The tradition of sea and land in folk songs.

Once again this summer, “La Canta” in Cattolica is not to be missed.

Cattolica is certainly a city of music. Not only the calendar of performances at the Arena della Regina and Teatro della Regina, the Jazz of the Jazzfeeling festival, but also the town choirs. A city that resounds with music of all kinds and for all tastes throughout the summer in its marvellous squares. A continuous spectacle all year round.

Monday 5th August is the opportunity to hear one of Cattolica’s most famous choirs: La Canta. The tradition of sea and land in popular songs. The choir boasts a long and consolidated tradition and has always entertained the public of tourists and residents during its summer performances. A real dive into the past of songs that may not be too well known to the youngest, but are nevertheless part of our collective memory. An opportunity for everyone to listen to good music.

After having brought the sounds and words of the maritime tradition during the Vele al Terzo event at the Museo della Regina https://cattolicawelcome.it/altri-eventi/vele-al-terzo-2024/, another unmissable moment in Cattolica’s cultural offer, the appointment is on 5th August in Piazzale Roosevelt starting at 9 p.m. A not-to-be-missed evening for lovers of traditional music, the voices of the Canta will sing the best-known and most appreciated folk songs. A real mission for this choir that wants to preserve, promote, enhance and disseminate the music and traditions of popular folklore.Don’t forget.
