Oceanman 2026: The prestigious open-water swimming competition
On 23rd and 24th May Cattolica will host Oceanman 2026, a prestigious open-water swimming competition. Athletes from all over the world will compete in the waters of the Adriatic for a place on the podium.
The Cattolica stage has always been the most popular; every year the number of participants increases, perhaps because the welcome here is so special!
The races, which will take place in the waters off the port of Cattolica, come in various formats and levels of difficulty:
Ocean
Half Ocean
OceanKids
OceanTeams.
The competition is open to everyone, and since here, more than anywhere else, the important thing is not to win but to take part, non-competitive swimmers who simply want to enjoy the experience also sign up.
The atmosphere isn’t really that of a race but more like a party, a reunion.
As Mark Meldau, event director of Oceanman Cattolica, said: “The atmosphere is that of a race, but also that of a real party that fosters friendships and relationships that often last a long time”, and what a party it is!
Cattolica, Romagna, its people, its local products and its history have a way of captivating and engaging everyone; here, the race becomes an experience of pure enjoyment and the good life. Unique, unmissable moments.
Oceanman is one of the world’s most popular open-water swimming competitions (held in seas, lakes and rivers) and has been a fixture on the calendar for enthusiasts since 2020.
